Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1: NairobiArrival at JKIA international airport. After customs and immigration formalities, you will be met by our Frate Tours representative for briefing and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2: Amboseli National Park Following breakfast, depart Nairobi at approximately 07.30 Hours and drive south to Amboseli National Park. The ecosystem mainly Savannah grassland spread across the Kenya-Tanzania border. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants among other wildlife species including Lions, Cheetahs, Zebras, and Wildebeest among others. Other attractions of the park include opportunities to meet the Maasai and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Located at the foot of the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro, Amboseli is home to a wealth of wildlife and particularly huge herds of elephants. Relax after lunch and start the evening game viewing drive at the late afternoon returning to lodge at dusk. Arrive in Amboseli National Park in time for lunch and your afternoon game drive.
Day 3: Amboseli National Park You will be treated to two game drives on this day. An early morning and evening game drive. You will have the remainder of the day at leisure and open for any optional activities you may be interested in i.e. visiting a Masai Village.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park Following breakfast at the lodge , you will depart Amboseli for your next destination ??? Lake Nakuru National Park. You will retrace your way back to the city of Nairobi passing by the stretching Konza and Kapiti plains. You could opt for a picnic lunch or hot lunch on the shores of the fresh water Lake Naivasha. Proceed to Lake Nakuru arriving in time for an evening game drive. The Lake Nakuru ecosystem comprises of the lake, surrounded by mainly wooded and bushy grasslands. The park supports a wide ecological diversity with Flamingos (Greater and Lesser) and other water birds being the major attractions of the area. The ecosystem provides for about 56 different species of mammals including the White Rhino, Lions and Buffaloes and a variety of terrestrial birds numbering nearly 450 species.
Day 5: Masai Mara Game reserve Your will have an early breakfast and depart your camp heading for the Masai Mara National Reserve. You will drive into Masai land passing through the Kedong and Suswa plains making a stop over at the Masai town of Narok. Continue towards the Masai Mara arriving in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. This is probably one of Kenya???s most visited reserve with an extraordinary density of animals including the Big five and many other varieties of plains game. The Mara River cuts through the Mara and Serengeti eco systems giving life to the both reserves finally pouring out into the Lake Victoria. Impressive and most notable is the wildebeest, zebra and gazelle instinct led migration from the Serengeti in Tanzania to the Masai Mara in Kenya. Arrive in good time for lunch
Day 6: Masai Mara Game reserve Depending on the wildlife migration patterns and the weather, you could either opt for Morning and evening game drives or alternatively venture out for a full day. Other optional activities on this day would be an early morning balloon flight over the Masai Mara plains and a visit to the nearby Masai communities
Day 7: DepartureBreakfast and leave the Masai Mara. Enjoy extra game viewing en route as you drive through the plains and the floor of the Great Rift Valley arriving in Kenya???s capital city of Nairobi early afternoon. drop off at the airport/ hotel
